Challenge your body and mind
Bouldering is climbing at low heights without ropes, using strength, balance and creativity to find your way up the climbing wall. Each route presents a new challenge: Which hold should you choose, where should you place your feet, and how do you make your next move? Sometimes it takes strength. Other times, a small adjustment to your technique makes all the difference. In this class, you practise using your legs, keeping your balance and moving more confidently between holds. You also challenge your concentration and your ability to persevere when a route takes several attempts.
Bouldering together
Bouldering is part of our Sport Subjects X, with two sessions a week. This gives you the opportunity to work consistently on your climbing and build on what you learn from one session to the next. You have time to practise movements, try different approaches and revisit challenges you want to master. Bouldering also brings people together. While you’re the one on the wall, the others can suggest ideas, share their experience and cheer you on as you try again. There are several ways to complete a route, and seeing how others approach it can be inspiring.
