Get your hands dirty
The lessons in Grow varies from week to week. Some days we gather for joint lessons in the Grow-classroom, where we might create plant planets or small terrariums. Other times we work in small groups with a focus on making IHÅ greener. That could mean planting an apple tree, or picking up saw and hammer to build raised beds. On other occasions, we pack our bags and head out on trips. For example, we might go to Riis Skov to find and collect mushrooms, learn about wild herbs, or visit the self-sufficient eco-village Friland in Syddjursland to get inspiration for sustainable ways of living.
Outdoors as much as possible
When the weather allows, we move the teaching outside under the open sky. Here we work project-based in small groups, where you decide which green project you want to dive into. It could be anything from building raised beds or a plant wall, to fermenting vegetables, brewing mead, or even making beer. In this way, Grow becomes both a community where we learn from each other and a laboratory where new ideas are given the chance to grow.
