Volleyball at IHAA is about the joy of the game, personal development and training both in our indoor hall and on our outdoor beach court.  We plan the training to challenge you at your personal level, and our goal is for you to develop not only your physical abilities but also at a mental level.

Volleyball is for both genders and beginners as well as experienced players. If you choose Volleyball as one of your two sports subjects you will have practice two times a week.

Volleyball at Idrætshøjskolen Aarhus

At IHAA we have some amazing facilities to play volleyball in. We have practice in the schools full size sports hall and as soon as the weather allows it we move outside to our beach court. We mix theory and physical practice on the court and arrange practice matches against former students, local clubs, and other sport folk high schools at a large tournament which takes place both in the spring and the fall.

Both in the spring and the fall semester you have an opportunity to play volleyball under warmer skies, than the danish, when IHAA travels to Club La Santa on Lanzarote.

Become a volleyball coach

Many of our students choose to play in a club, when they leave IHAA. If you want to be more than just a player afterwards, you can take a basic trainer course from the Danish Volleyball Association while you are a student.
