Dance

Your body should be strong and move beautifully in harmony with itself! This is the goal of the dance education at IHÅ. No matter how experienced you are, we always base our classes on you and we start with taking a look at your body, your opportunities and your dreams.

The classes are planned so that everyone can participate, and is addressed to both boys and girls. Regardless of gender, level and ambition, it is crucial that you have the physique and coordination in order. Therefore in the beginning we concentrate on making sure you are in shape, so you have a good starting point to develop your own joy in the movement and find your personal style.

Choreography will always be a basic element of the dance - we work primarily with modern dance and street dance, which of course is supported by the newest music. Additionally we are pushing the limits and go into directions you and your fellow students want to go, trying other genres.

We leave the school and get into the city and out into the world - Our unique location in Aarhus gives us some great opportunities to involve the city's vibrant dance environment - we go to shows in the Aarhus dance theaters, and participate in workshops with guest instructors. This will contribute to giving you a whole new perspective on your dancing.

As a dancer at IHÅ you will have the opportunity to enjoy working with our choreography under the open sky, when we go to Club La Santa on Lanzarote, in both the spring and the fall term. At Club La Santa we will seek out new inspiration from the dance instructors we meet here,

Many of our students have decided to spend anothern term at IHÅ, where they have immersed themselves even more into the dance by testing their talent at our Dance Academy, where we offer training on a more elite level.
