Volleyball at IHÅ is all about the joy in the game, your personal developement, and great training both inside and on the beach. Our starting point is your personal level and the clear goal is that you will evolve and improve your skills, as a player - no matter if you are new to the game or a divisional player.
We place emphasis on the practical execution of the game and the teaching is organized so that there is room for both girls and boys, at any level.
At IHÅ we have some fantastic training facilities, we train in the halls at school and when the sun is high, then there is only 5 minutes to the beach and we have access to the nearby beach volley courts. We mix theory with training on the pitch and in the middle of the process we are starting to play matches against former students, local clubs and against other colleges at a large tournament organized both spring and autumn.
If you are new to the game it is a fantastic experience to play volleyball once die basic things like bagger blow, finger rolls, smash, serve and blockade is in place. For the more experienced players, the focus of the lessons is at the tactical level, for example combinations by the net.
Many of our students choose to become club players when they leave IHÅ - and if you want more, so we also offer a basic coaching workshop within Danish Volleyball Federation. Here you can get a good start if you fancy yourself to be a - or improve your skills as a - club coach.
