Economic information

Even though Denmark is a part of the European Union we do not have the Euro (€) in Denmark. Our currency is Danish Kroner (DKK) and all our school fees etc. are listed in DKK. When transferring money from an international bank account you need to make sure, that your payment is in DKK and that the fees charged for the transfer are paid by you and not deducted from the amount transferred.

Our school fees are DKK 1350,-per week if you attend IHÅ as a Folk High School Student. If you choose to attend one of our academies the school fees are 1550,- per week. This amount covers your tuition, room, and board.

The spring term 2012 begins Sunday January 8th and has a duration of 23 weeks and the fall term 2012 begins August and has a duration of 18 weeks; you can attend either one of these terms, or choose to stay for a total of two or even more terms.

In Addition to the school fees there are the following expenses:
Registration fee: DKK 500,- (non refundable)
Deposit: DKK 3000,- (This amount will be deposited in an account in your name and we will deduct amounts from it when you e.g. buy some school clothing, choose to take an extra curse, attend a game etc. )

We also offer a variety of trips - if you choose to join your classmates on these trips there will be additional costs, you can find the information about the different options for travelling with IHÅ in our section about the trips.
